An Excerpt from Today's Email -
I wrote this to a mom whose kid once attended our kindergarten school -
Well, nothing new and exciting here, except more heat from our class (as usual) and Trisha, Britney & Sophia are supposedly seeing the principal every day until god knows when.
It all started on one fine day last week when one girl told another - how abominably cute she was.
[Our class is learning, -er and -est suffixes. Sooo...]
The next girl claimed she was cutER.
Then Trisha declared that she was the cutEST of all!!
It ignited a war between the girls regarding who was the fairest of all the land. No king or queen, nor the handsome prince in his white steed, could ever fathom such an internal strife on our school grounds.
So...the claws and talons came out. Then at some given point, Miranda, Britney, & Trisha joined together for an once-in-a-lifetime event singing, "I hate Sophia!". They banded together to eradicate any competition and to determine how their beauty extended vast and far in our Trans kingdom.
The teacher overheard the singing, stepped in, screamed, and sent 3 girls into the principal's office. No more singing during recess. Oh well.
Mikayla was saddened by the singing ban.
Singing may not be my daughter's strongest attributes, but she was disappointed. As of late, she's been watching "Alvin & the Chipmunks" and has been singing like Alvin in hit songs like, "Funky Town" and "Had a Bad Day".
The latest tune you can catch her singing in a soft voice, but it's squeaky enough to be audible - "Don'tcha wish your girlfriend was HOT like ME!"
When does this madness end?
